United States History 1865-Present

The Course: The course covers United States History II: 1865 to the Present and United States Cultural Geography.  Students will receive a study guide of all required standards for the year. This guide should be kept in student binders throughout the year for study and homework.  Students will take the seventh grade Virginia State SOL (Standards of Learning) test in the Spring.

Materials:

3-Ring binder

4 dividers or page protectors (10 count)

Pencils (No. 2) and pens (black, dark blue and red ink)

Color pencils

*Feel free to donate a box of tissues, hand sanitizer, or Clorox wipes to be used throughout the school year by all students

The following grading procedure will be used in this class:

Tests and Projects = 40%

Classwork (worksheets, notes, reading check-ups, etc) = 30%

Quizzes = 20%

Homework = 10%
